If you stumbled upon our page, it probably means you’re in the market for one of the structures StillWater Buildings specializes in: carports, garages, portable buildings, metal barns, or post-frame barns.
And, just like most people conducting preliminary research for certain products and services, you probably have a couple of questions you want answered. We hope yours are covered in the following Q&As we put together.
Yes, we do! If you’re concerned about sizing or access restrictions, just let us know so we can schedule a site visit to check the area and find a solution.
The most important preparation is that your site needs to be level within 1-2 inches. However, if you need help, we can do offer dirt services and assistance with preparation. Other than that, all we need to know is that you have adequate space to accommodate the fully assembled structure from the road to the designated space. If you’re unsure or have questions regarding this, we’d be happy to discuss it with you and possibly schedule a site visit if necessary.
Whether it’s a carport, barn or portable building, all the structures we produce are engineered and constructed in a climate-controlled facility. This serves to eliminate any environmental factors that can affect the finished product. It also enables our engineers to closely supervise all stages of the construction process, including the integration of customized features.
If you require custom features, we can integrate these and other design requirements (e.g. colors, siding types, etc.) in the final drawing/design. Just be sure to let us know early on so we can anticipate specific challenges (if any) and immediately address them to ensure your requirements are met.
Your new building or structure comes with a 10-year warranty. This includes a 90-day workmanship warranty and 1-year leakproof warranty. Weather-related damages, as well as those arising from accidents are not covered by the warranty.
Of course, we can take care of most minor damages not mentioned in the warranty at our cost. For example, if a window is broken after being hit by a tree branch, we can fix it for you (for the cost of the materials, labor cost and reasonable travel charges) although it may not be covered in the warranty.
Since StillWater Buildings has been in the business for a number of years, we can certainly recommend professional tradesmen (e.g. plumbers, electricians, etc.) who can work on your other jobs. We can also work with them while building work is ongoing to ensure your exact needs are addressed.
Absolutely! StillWater Buildings are prefabricated and lightweight, while also being durable enough to last for years. Our smaller structures can usually be relocated while intact. Larger structures can be disassembled, moved and then reassembled in the new site. Give us a call so we can evaluate the structures that need to be relocated.
If you have a question not covered in the above Q&As, please give us a quick call and we’d be happy to answer all your questions. Call StillWater Buildings or use our online contact form.
